In this new course (course 2012-2013), Arizmendi Ikastola has set up a new proyect for child of primary. As one of the innovation is related with the space, they have reformed some of the rooms of the four sites that Arizmendi has got for primary school: Almen, Arimazubi, Gazteluondo and Santa Teresa. That’s why some parents have been painting the walls of the “new rooms”. During summer, they have demolished some walls and what last year were 7 rooms, they have became in one big room. The aim of this new project is to improve the knowledge, emotions, self-esteem and self consciousness.

In this new course (course 2012-2013), Arizmendi Ikastola has set up a new proyect for child of primary. Another new project is the one that the students of Batxi 1 have begun. The new course is involved in technology. The students, instead of using those heavy books, we have an individual computer. For the use of those computer, they have restored a powerful Wifi system in most of the classrooms of the 1st course of Batxi. The objective of this project is to prepare the student for the his future in the university and avance at the same time as technology.
We know about this project last year. They told us that the new course will began with a new project and each of us will have an individual computer. This system was supposed to be a cheaper way of studying, than the traditional one. Instead of buying or inheriting a unique book for each subject, in moodle (a virtual classroom) we have all the exercises and the theory of different books. In this aspect, the use of this appliance enriches you but in the aspect of the money, in my point of view, is very expensive. The computers have the latest operating system, Windows 7, they look like modern, but they don’t work very well. Furthermore, we receive them 2 weeks later than the beginning of the new course and they didn’t have any program installed, even the essential ones that we need to work. We have to download everything (antivirus, cmaps, office...or a word) and some of us we don’t know how to instal them. Moreover, we spent the whole day sitting in front of a computer. This harms our view and the back, caused by the incorrect position.
Personally we think that, studying with books would improve our marks and we would waiste less time.
